Director Oren Shai’s short Condemned pays masterful homage to ‘women in prison’ movies of the 1950′s, whilst mixing in alternative genre tropes to create a film that surpasses mere reflection. Oren joins us to discuss taking an audience into the concreate womb.
If you make a women in prison movie that just follows the conventions of the original genre, all you’re going to do is make a retro film.
