Applying throat singer Tanya Tagaq’s instinctual and improvisational approach to creation within the bounds of filmmaking, directing duo Felix & Paul’s short Tungijuq is a metaphysical expression of the importance of seal hunting to the Inuit. They join us to discuss building a project which could shift direction as needed and why society’s moral norms don’t always consider the important traditions of other cultures.

For us it became a very constructive dynamic, that we can apply to music videos, to commercials but also to short films & eventually I hope to feature films.
