Southwest Light – The Journey Continues sees a group of five photographers travelling through Australia’s beautiful landscapes of the Southwest. Filmed and edited by Michael Fletcher, this fantastic exploration showcases some of Australia’s finest scenery. Fletcher’s latest solo project Autumn Colours, a pleasing trip through the Victorian highlands using the Canon 5D mk3 is also worth a look.
The five photographers which include internationally known landscape photographer Peter Eastway and ‘AIPP Australian and Western Australian Landscape Photographer of the Year’ winner Christian Fletcher, collectively make up ND5 (Ninety Degrees 5). The group has spent the last year exploring Western Australia’s North West mining region on their Pilbara Project before coming together once again for the magnificent Southwest Light.
The Journey Continues boasts spectacular stills taken by these experienced photographers and Fletcher’s use of some exquisite time-lapses and frames detailing forests, beaches and river systems really brings the Australian Southwest to life in glorious fashion. Also, behind-the-scenes footage sees the five photographers along with guest snapper Nick Rains hunting for their next shot.
Overall, Southwest Light – The Journey Continues is a marvellous adventure into Australia’s striking Southwest rural vista. The photographers that make up ND5 invite you to view the Southwest like you’ve never seen it before, in all its wonderous glory.
