Silence is an under-rated tool in the world of filmmaking, there was a time when directors had no choice but to make a film with no audio or dialogue; a notion that would feel very foreign to many filmmakers nowadays. With “Everything’s so silent” director Joschka Laukeninks hasn’t made a silent movie, but by creating a universe where no-one talks he plays with the usual expectations of cinema and ironically has conceived a film that seems destined to create dialogue.
