In the Shadow

Described as “a film noir with shadows,” Fabrice Mathieu’s In the Shadow (Dans l’ombre) tells the story of a a shadow forced to participate in the heinous acts of his ‘Wearer’, that is until he commits the ultimate sin and breaks free.

Created as research for Mathieu’s coming feature, In the Shadow appropriates shadow footage from over fifty movies, cleverly weaving them together to form the noir narrative of a renegade shadow on the run.
