Brooklyn Girl Film Festival Open for Submissions
It’s my firm opinion that there can never be too many opportunities to watch great films and with the frankly pitiful representation of women in cinema, a new film festival dedicated to the work of female filmmakers is always a welcome addition to the calendar.
Enter the Brooklyn Girl Film Festival, an international women’s film festival due to kick off March 2012 in Brooklyn, NY with a mission to showcase the best features, documentaries, shorts, animation, and experimental films with women occupying a lead position (that’s director, writer, producer or lead animator).
Brooklyn Girl Film Festival is currently open for submissions via Withoutabox, the earlybird deadline hitting 1st August, 2011. Full details after the jump
