If we had a section called ‘weirdest short of the day’ on Directors Notes, then Blk/Car by Øyvind Aspen would definitely be my recommendation today. In fact Blk/Car could probably win the ‘weirdest short of the year’ award, but there is something not only strangely hypnotic about Aspen’s film, it is also incredibly unnerving…..I’m just not sure why!
