When a person goes missing they leave both a mystery and a tragedy behind. Many filmmakers find themselves drawn to the inherent drama present in the mystery, but in his documentary The Space You Leave, director James Newton focuses on the tragic nature of such disappearances and the life long effects suffered by those who are left behind.
