It’s always daunting confessing undying love for the first time. Even more so when the girl concerned thinks of you as her ‘little brother’. Throw in the confusion of arriving in a country where you don’t speak the language or even have the correct phone number for the object of your desire and you’re firmly in the shoes of director Alex Winckler’s protagonist Ralph in his short of the same name. Alex takes us through the hurdles of shooting abroad, with plans perhaps not as fully laid out as they could have been.
