A mighty fine list you have there Kurt. Last year was strange in the fact pretty much everyone's lists (here and elsewhere) had the most amount of crossover I've seen.

I'd put it down to the stand out quality of releases although I've heard a fair amount of people put it down to the mountain of schlock that also came out, making it easy to spot the gems.

Alright I’ve waited long enough, so I’ll post my top 10 of what I’ve seen in 2008. My lists seem to looks a little different from you guys because many of your favorites of this year I saw last year in the states, but this year seemed to be a great year for UK films so I’m a bit jealous that I didn’t get to see many of those in the theater like you did.

Top 10 of 2008
1.	Hunger
2.	The Visitor
3.	WALL-E
4.	The Wrestler
5.	Wendy and Lucy
6.	The Reader
7.	In Bruges
8.	Frozen River
9.	Happy-Go-Lucky
10.	Gran Torino

Other notables I really enjoyed were: Encounters at the End of the World, Burn After Reading, W., Paranoid Park, The Dark Knight, Iron Man, and Let the Right One In.
