Time Piece (2007)
A documentary set in Switzerland, capturing the dying craft of artisan watchmaking – a fragile world that is fast becoming the stuff of history. The film focuses on the lives and ideas of two visionaries of the watchmaking world, Philippe Dufour and Vianney Halter, who spend years creating some of the most expensive and exclusive watches on earth.
MarBelle has a strange compulsion to watch as many films as he can get his hands on and find jobs that give him a legitimate excuse to drill filmmakers about their work. Directors Notes is the latest incarnation of this disorder and so much cheaper than film school. Twitter: @MarBelle
I am looking for a High Def documentary titled: “Masters of Time”. That highlighted several watchmakers (including Dufour). I can’t seem to find it anywhere, but I believe it was on Discover HD a while back. Can you help me obtain a HDDVD or Blu-Ray of this wonderful documentary?
regards,
‘Sig

This looks like a great documentary MarBelle!
Yes it is, Kat really opened a window in to what is unfortunately a dying art.
I also saw that ducumentary. It was awesome and I would love to get a copy on DVD also. If you ever find a source for it I would really appreciate it it you could let me know where you found it.
Thanks!
Mike, if you go over to Kat’s production company site http://www.animalmonday.co.uk/ you should be able to get hold of a copy directly from them.
I’m also looking for the “Masters of Time” documentary… I was left very impressed.
